An old friend of mine moved to Arcata, CA. Turns out they have a kinetic sculpture derby there: Kinetic Grand Championship

I was fascinated with this, so I had to find out more. Turns out there’s also a well-established one in Baltimore: Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race

And there’s one in Philly that our friends at Neighborhood Bike Works had a big part in: Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby. Who knew? Video from it here:

Did someone say another potential Steel Yard / Recycle-a-Bike collaboration? Or maybe we could put one on in Providence…. someday.
