The bicycle has served as a great emancipator, a social equalizer, and a people liberator all over the world. The depth of importance of the bicycle is DEEP!
Recycle-a-Bike will facilitating a conversation about exploding bike culture in the USA, how bikes can change the world, benefits of appropriate technology, bike advocacy, community engagement, communities that have successful integrated biking systems, and basic bicycle anatomy. Please join us for the revolution!
hope artist village movie madness this sunday

Pawtucket Movie Madness is part of the Pawtucket Arts FestivalOn Saturday August 29th there will be artists and Hope Artiste Village tenants exhibiting from 4-8pm and at 8pm the movie Napoleon Dynamite begins. There will be special hands on exhibits by Keeseh Studio as well as AS220 and a silent auction held by the Pawtucket Arts Collaborative. We invite everyone to bring beach chairs and blankets and get comfortable in the courtyard as the movie is projected on the façade of the historic Hope Webbing building. Food vendors will be serving all day. The event is FREE and open to everyone!

Open Shop!
Tuesdays 6-9 pm in the Bike Room at The Steel Yard
$5/hour or $20 for a monthly membership
Open Shop is the time to come in to repair your bicycle. You will have access to all our tools, a stand, as well as a skilled mechanic to assist you. We have three work stations, a truing stand, as well as some minor replacement parts. We suggest that if you need new parts that you bring them with you or talk to us ahead of time to see if we have what you need, as this is not the best time to find used parts. Stand time can also be earned with volunteer hours (one hour working for one hour at Open Shop), you must volunteer the hours prior to Open Shop, please e-mail us to set up a time to volunteer.
